PIAG Foundation Partners with SkillsUSA Georgia for State Competitions
The PIAG Educational Foundation is proud to continue its partnership with SkillsUSA Georgia to provide professional experience for print and graphic communications students.
Last week, SkillsUSA Georgia hosted its State Leadership and Skills Conference, which recognizes career and technical education students across a variety of occupations. On February 23, PIAG managed three of the competitions: Advertising Design, Graphic Communications, and Screen Printing Technology. Twenty students participated across the three competitions, which tested their knowledge and expertise via hands-on assessments.
Thanks to our hosts, Danger Press who hosted the Screen Printing competition at their Atlanta facility, and Heidelberg who hosted Ad Design and Graphic Communications at their Print Media Performance & Training Center in Kennesaw, students had access to industry equipment and were able to showcase their talent while learning more about the profession.

SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. The SkillsUSA Georgia State Leadership & Skills Conference featured over 150 career competition events and over 3,000 student competitors.
